SIGNS
Children are often too scared or ashamed to disclose abuse. It is estimated only 10% (1 in 10 children) of child victims ever come forward on their own. Children depend on caring-adults. It is important to know about possible changes in behavior and/or other indicative signs.
PREVENTION

MYTHS
A common and dangerous public assumption is that a person that looks normal and acts normal simply cannot be a child molester. Regardless of socio-economic status, family connection, political association, or other general assumption, there is no single “type” of person that assaults children.
Types of Abuse
Child abuse can take place anywhere – at home, school, public places – wherever a child goes or interacts with others. It can take several forms, and cause long-lasting scars on the body of the child, as well as the mind. Child abuse can present itself in many forms some signs are not obvious or visible.
